Section 224(c) certificates
⚠️ Due to the high volume of requests currently being received, we might take slightly longer than usual to provide s224(c) letters. We're sorry for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your patience.
As part of a subdivision consent process, local authorities will list a set of conditions to meet their approval. One of these conditions is that all new lots have been provisioned with a point of supply (electricity connection) to the legal property boundary.
When our contractor has installed and commissioned your new electricity connection, you may request a s224(c) letter from Wellington Electricity. To do this, please complete the form below, ensuring that you attach the relevant Land Transfer (LT) draft plan.
Please note that we are unable to accept any requests that are not submitted via this form.
If you need to follow up, please email 224crequests@welectricity.co.nz rather than using the form.
Once we are satisfied that the new electricity connection has been completed to our standards, we will provide a letter of confirmation to the requester. This letter can then be provided to your local authority when applying for a section 224(c) certificate from them.
