Retailer Agreements

Wellington Electricity (we*) provides electricity distribution services to electricity retailers in Wellington. we* has an agreement with each retailer for the provision of distribution services.

Prior to 2021, services to all retailers were provided under a Use of Network Agreement. From 2021, we* will be offering a Default Distribution Agreement (DDA) that will apply to new retailers and existing retailers. The DDA has been prepared in accordance with the DDA template regulated by the Electricity Authority.

In limited circumstances, we* will provide distribution services directly to large customers or to customers with unusual operational or commercial circumstances. we* will communicate directly with these customers.
