2019's prices see a modest reduction in our household and commercial pricing categories
A summary of our prices for the 2019/20 pricing year (which will be effective from 1 April 2019) is available for viewing below within the 1 April 2019 Wellington Electricity Lines Charges Notice.
The key points to note in relation to our pricing this year are:
- a modest reduction in our household and commercial pricing categories, while still providing additional earthquake readiness investment into our network
- a 2.02% increase in streetlight pricing to reflect the Consumer Price Index increase and the costs of maintaining the streetlight network
- we continue to support the uptake of Electric Vehicles and Household Battery Storage systems through our Electric Vehicle and Battery (EVB) pricing
Wellington Electricity’s line charges and pricing methodology are published to enable interested persons to understand how prices were set for each consumer group, including the assumptions and statistics used to determine prices for each consumer group.
